* Ring Entrance Description:
“Last Night When We Were Young” by Frank Sinatra plays for a while, giving an old school vibe off into the arena, settling everyone. Then the curtain moves a bit and then the masked superstar of the Golden Era of professional wrestling makes his way down the aisle. He walks his way up to the ring, looks at his opponent and walks up the steps. Before he enters, he wipes the soles of his boots off on the apron to show respect for the canvas and then enters the ring. He paces around the ring while slapping at his arms and shoulders and then he tests out the ropes, then waits in the corner for the bell to ring.
* History:
The Masked Grappler is a very old school wrestler. His age is unknown but he is on record of being involved in some of the very first professional wrestling matches in a ring with ropes. He was the first wrestler to cut a promo against his opponent and he claims to have outlived every man he has faced during his career. He keeps in shape by eating the right foods, nothing microwaved, and he swims everyday, including jumping into the coldest of rivers and lakes during the winter months to revive his body.
In 1953, The Masked Grappler swam to Japan to wrestle a match. It is said that it took him all of 2 days to swim the length of the Pacific Ocean to get to Japan. He then wrestled Yukihiro Sakeda to a 4-hour draw. The Masked Grappler then packed his bags and swam back to the United States the same night.
Being one of the very first men to wear a mask in the ring, he, to this day, teaches wrestlers from all over the world to tie their masks tightly, so they will not be so easily ripped off or fall off during matches.
During an exhibition match in 1957 for a sideshow circus, The Masked Grappler wrestled and defeated a large brown bear named CoCo Thunder to win the Midwest Wrestling Championship. The Masked Grappler surprised the crowd by making CoCo Thunder tap out to the Iron Claw. This solidified Grappler with having the strongest hands in the world, if he could make an adult American brown bear submit. Thus, the Guinness Book of World Records were called in to record how powerful the hands of Grappler were. They tested his hands by having him fold an iron skillet up like a burrito. Then they tested his hands out by having him rip rubber tires to shreds. Spectators were amazed as he ripped the tires like school paper. The last test came when Grappler dismantled an airplane wing by repeatedly chopping it from the body of the plane. To this day, Grappler is still the record holder for having the strongest hands in the history of mankind. With those hands, some 20 years later, Grappler made Andre The Giant submit to the Iron Claw.
The Masked Grappler is in semi-retirement, as he's been studding. He has 43 children, 132 grandchildren, 85 great-grandchildren, 51 great-great grandchildren, and 45 great-great-great grandchildren. It is even rumored that Grappler has sired additional children with a few of his grandchildren.
