PROMOTERS/OWNERS
Promoters are welcome to join the PWC family to share their brand of e-wrestling to the world. Under the PWC umbrella, all promoters will establish their promotion and run it their way. There are some common PWC rules to follow but to establish each promotion as individual entities, each promoter has the right to create their own unbiased and fair rules.
Contracts are established between promoters and wrestlers to fill out the rosters. Promoters have the right to offer contracts to any free agent that may be available for service. The compensation/incentive for signing must be written into the contract so the agreement between the two is fulfilled.
Promoters are encouraged not to be an active participant in storylines where championships are on the line, either through a owner vs. wrestler angle or masking themselves as another wrestler. If it is discovered that any promoter/owner is moonlighting as another wrestler and dominating the roster, the owner will be punished. This is the type of environment, we at PWC, are trying to achieve by creating a fair and unbiased atmosphere. There is no need to have promoters dominating over their rosters for the sake of ego or shear selfishness. If a promoter can not trust his contracted talent to carry the promotion, then the promotion doesn't need to exist.
Promoters are welcome to work with each other to either trade talent or create cross-promotional shows that will help each other. If a wrestler is traded, a contract reworking must take place to compensate the wrestler on the move. All cross-promotional shows can be brought to the attention of The Council so we can announce it as a big event for not only the two promotions, but PWC as a whole.
WRESTLERS
Creations – When you join any E-Fed/promotion under the PWC umbrella, you must create a wrestler. People tend to use themselves as templates for their wrestler, or base their wrestler from one that already exists. There are templates already available to use, but filling out the template can be just as challenging. If you’re not comfortable with creating a wrestler based on yourself, then use parts of ones that do exists.
Realism – When you create a PWC Wrestler, make him/her as believable as possible. They cannot have wings, fangs or anything else that would fall under magical and/or mythical characters. PWC is based on reality, not fairy tales. At a later date, there may be a promotion that allows magical/mythical creations, but as of this writing, there are none and a possible amendment to this ruling would be in store to accommodate the new magical/mythical promotion.
Finishers – All wrestlers must have at least two (2) finishing maneuvers. Certain E-Feds/promotions may allow more, but the PWC requirement is at least two finishers. You must have one (1) submissive move as a signature maneuver; it doesn’t have to be a finisher but you must have one. It’s common courtesy not to use another persons’ finisher by name as your own unless you have permission. If they ask you to change it, please, you MUST change it. Finishers should be OHK (One Hite Knockouts), but they can be kicked out of with permission from the person who uses that finisher.
Alignment – When you create your wrestler, you must know if you want them to be a Face (good guy), Heel (bad guy), or Tweener (neutral). Stay true to this alignment for a decent amount of time to develop your character. Only change it for storyline purposes, such as turns and swerves. Don’t be face one week, and heel the next week. Try to get a good grasp on your stance and build on it. It hurts their legitimacy if you constantly switch dispositions because you’re not handling the character correctly.
CONTRACTS
Contracts will be used to sign superstars to individual promotions within PWC. When the contract ends or a mutual agreement is made to terminate the contract, the superstar is considered a FREE AGENT and can sign with anyone or work another deal with the current promotion. The compensation/incentive for signing must be written into the contract so the agreement between the two is fulfilled.
Trading amongst promotions is always welcome. Trades must be agreed upon by all parties involved. The Council will have final say if a trade can be completed or revoked if it hits a snag. Promoters can offer contracts to free agents to obtain their services.
MATCHES
Setting up – Every week, the promoter and/or bookers of E-Feds/promotions will post a card in the announcements, weekly card section, or forum calendar. This is a common act in e-feds where your opponent hasn’t started the match within 24 hours of the posting of the cards start date, so you have to start the match yourself because your opponent is probably waiting for you. Don’t be upset about it, it’s just a common act and nothing can be done about it. Each match MUST have an introduction for each person. Do not post someone else’s entrance unless you have their permission.
Time Limit – Depending on your E-Feds/promotions match schedule; you have to complete it within the day prior of the promotions next show. If they post their cards every Monday, you have until Sunday to finish it, unless you have permission from the E-Feds/promotions Promoter/Owner/Booker. If it’s monthly, you have until next month’s event to finish your match. DO NOT wait until the 11th hour to drop your next post as your last, just so you can get a win. If you’re found of this infraction, you will be punished severely for unsportsmanlike conduct. This rule (except for the punishment) will differ from E-Fed to E-Fed, promotion to promotion.
Match Completion – You have to finish your match within the set time. It’s easy to finish it; you must have at least 4 posts per match (including entrances) with no maximum limit. If you can’t compete the following week on any of the E-Feds/promotions you belong to, do mention it either through a PM to the booker/promoter or the Official Missing In Action Thread.
Realism – This is VERY important to any match and E-Fed/promotion. You can’t grab your opponent by their throat, lift them up and dropkick them to the moon. You can’t grab a machine-gun out of no where and shoot your opponent to death. Be real here folks; that includes finishers and match finishes also. You can’t lift your opponent up with one hand if you weigh 150 lbs and they weigh 400 and slam them with a chokeslam. So please, let’s try to keep it as real as possible.
Beatdowns – If you want to beat someone down, you must have their permission. It’s extremely rude to beat someone down for absolutely no reason or to put you over. A beatdown should also only be done as part of a storyline. If you are guilty of this infraction of the ruling, you will be punished very harshly.
PAY PER VIEWS
Setting Up – As often as promotions gives out its pay per view cards, and time comes close to it, you must prepare. These matches are bigger than the weekly matches just like real-life promotions. During the time a pay per view is to happen, E-Feds/promotions will post their cards, and it’s up to you and the promoter to hype the matches and shows. If you don’t promote your matches, you will not be booked. The booker and E-Fed/promotion are not responsible to do it for you. You have to take it upon yourself to make your time in a feud worth looking after by putting in a good effort to get the feud over.
Matches – You have with the E-Feds/promotions time guidelines to finish the matches. Since there’s more time, there is not as much of a rush. But you still are expected to have them done within the same amount of time. Beating down a opponent/opponents still isn’t allowed. Your matches are expected to be better and longer than your regular matches. Stipulations are also given out more freely on PPV. Most of the time, pay per view matches are used to end feuds, so if you feel that your feud with a certain individual has come to a head, discuss the ending with your opponent to end the feud with climax or have whomever is writing the match to end it so both competitors will gain something from it.
CHAMPIONSHIPS
Defenses - Any champion rather it be the singles or tag team, are required to defend the title at every opportunity. There have been champions before who simply didn’t deserve to be champions, via using politics or just choose NOT to defend the titles. As a champion, you must defend the title every chance you have or at every challenge thrown your way. The E-Fed/promotion Owner and PWC have the right to strip any champion whenever they feel it is necessary based on a champion taking liberties with any given title. This should be rarely done, if ever. We at PWC would like to build prestige and honor with every championship, whether it be PWC or any championship under its umbrella.
Challenging – You must talk with your promoter to get their permission to challenge for a title and decide whether or not it should change hands and when. If you’re challenging for a PWC Championship, then you must first have proven yourself able to carry the title by showing up and constantly have good matches within any given promotion you have been a part of. You must also have an agreement or have consent from the PWC Council to win a championship if you are given permission by the PWC Council to win any specific championship belt.
CONDUCT
Wrestlers - This is referring to how one treats themselves and others. As a proud member of PWC, you must treat every other wrestler and promoter with respect. You are to treat them as equals. If you have a personal dispute with either the promoter who wants to book you or the opponent, inform a councilman RIGHT AWAY. There is no need to continue a dispute and hold up processes, when it can be moderated via the PWC Council. Just because someone has wronged you in the past, doesn’t mean you’re allowed to treat them the same way.
Promos/Roleplays – There are people in the e-wrestling world that will tend to get on the nerves of others by his/her harsh words towards others, even though it is teetering on the line of respect and conduct. The words may ring as disrespectful but they are just words and the beliefs of the individual writing them. If you are on the receiving end of a verbal barrage and you can no longer nerve the assault, either combat the words with your own words and much more (aside a beatdown), or privately ask the other to tone it down for the sake of saving face. Doing so will deter any feelings from being hurt and a possibility of the feud coming to a premature ending or a match never occurring. It takes a strong individual to eat the words of another, whether it be true or not. Learn to fight back or be seen as weak.
Matches – Don’t steal other people’s moves for absolutely no reason, and without their consent. People have done this before, as it angers the readers, promoter and original person. PWC is based on several principles, two of them being RESPECT and HONOR. Please don’t break either one.
Non-Player Characters (NPC) – This includes anyone in any promotion, including managers/valets, interviewers, commentators, or anyone else who is not owned by a user but by that particular promotion. You are not allowed to do any physical harm to them. Doing so will earn a harsh punishment.
PUNISHMENTS and PENALTIES
Match Penalties – Sorry, but this is a necessary evil. These will differ from E-Fed to E-Fed, promotion to promotion, but this is the overall general tone. Consequences for skipping or missing matches without fore-warning are as follows:
1st – You will receive one (1) and only one (1) warning.
2nd – A one (1) week suspension will be levied.
3rd – You will be contacted by either the promoter about specific actions against you or a PWC Councilman, where PWC punishments are far harsher.
4th – The promoter will have the option of releasing you from the promotion, thus making you a FREE AGENT, or levying heavy sanctions on you, up to and including a lack of push and shots at any title for a period of three (3) months.
Pay Per View Penalties – These penalties are much worst. The E-Fed/promotion has given you an opportunity to showcase your skills on a bigger stage, and you’re basically pissing on it and throwing it back in their faces if you miss the event unannounced. Consequences are as follows:
1st – You will be suspended for one (1) month. If you are in line for any title shots, they will be revoked and you will be stripped of any current titles that you may current hold.
2nd – You will be contacted by the E-Fed/promotion Owner or a PWC Councilman and there will be a conference about your absence. If a resolution can not be made about your absence, you will be de-pushed or not booked for an undisclosed amount of time.
3rd - You will also be suspended for two (2) months and all potential title shots will be revoked and you will be stripped of any current title that you may currently hold.
4th - You will be released from that specific promotion, becoming a FREE AGENT and not be allowed to sign with that promotion for six (6) months.
Sportsmanship – It makes many people mad when you act like a child for no reason or reasons that you deem to be unfair to you. Sportsmanship is why a promotion keeps on running and keeps a clean reputation of not harboring crybabies, brats, and ego maniacs. If there is no co-operation; it will ultimately fail. Punishments are as follows:
1st – There will be one (1) and only one (1) warning.
2nd - Any and all titles held will be stripped; you will be suspended for one (1) week so you can “sit on some ice” to cool down, think about your actions and regain your composure.
3rd – Any and all titles held will be stripped; you will not be eligible for title shots for three (3) months.
4th – Any and all titles held will be stripped; you will be released from that specific promotion; and you will not be allowed to sign with that specific promotion for up to one (1) calendar year.
Realism – If you’re not being real, you’re not being fair. Unless it’s a magical/mythic E-Fed/promotion, but then you have to be fair too. The punishments are as follows:
1st – There will be one (1) and only one (1) warning.
2nd - You will be stripped of any titles that you may hold.
3rd – You will be suspended for one (1) month, and stripped of any titles.
4th - You will be released, becoming a FREE AGENT and not allowed to sign with any other promotion for one (1) month.
We want to portray PWC as real as possible and everyone’s cooperation is required. We will not allow one bad apple to spoil the bunch.
Storyline – These are important to any E-Fed/promotion. Storylines help make E-Feds/promotions interesting. These also make or break characters, helping them earn their peers respect. The punishments are as follows:
1st – There will be one (1) and only one (1) warning.
2nd - You will be stripped of any titles that you may hold.
3rd - You will be stripped of any titles, and will be suspended for one (1) month.
4th - You will be released, becoming a FREE AGENT and not allowed to sign with any other promotion for one (1) month because of your inconsistency.
You must learn to be consistent and keep the ball rolling. If you and your opponent have a plan to make things happen, by all means, make it happen, but when you go into business for yourself, to put yourself over, you’re doing nothing but hurting yourself.
Show/Match Promotion – For wrestlers, this means you have to cut a promo in the appropriate E-Fed/promotion about your upcoming matches. For promoters, with the aid of the wrestler, you must promote your upcoming shows and any PWC Championships you have been successfully allowed to showcase on your show(s). Inform any Councilmen when you would like to have your shows showcased on the PWC webpage to gain more exposure. The more effect and work you put into promoting your product, the more attractive you become.
HARSH PRO WRESTLING COUNCIL RULES
For those who fail to show up at PWC Events, these punishments are the most severe and most enforced. Other E-Feds/promotions may have their own way of punishing those which require punishment; but this is how PWC will punish those who are found to be within acceptable reasons to receive punishment. Mind you, infractions carry over during separate title reigns.
For those who have decided to no-show without giving at least 36 hours advance notice; they will fall under one of several punishments:
First Offense – If you are a champion, you WILL be stripped of your title, and you will not receive a shot at any PWC Championship for three (3) months and receive a one (1) month suspension from all PWC sanctioned matches. This means no rematch, regardless of what your situation may have been. Yes, this is very harsh, but we are trying to uphold the rules and establish prestige and consistency with the championships. If you were good enough to be a PWC champion, work at getting the title(s) back in due time. If you are challenging for a title or missed a PWC sanctioned event at which you were scheduled, you will be not be eligible for any PWC Championship title matches for three (3) months, and will be suspended for one (1) month. Meaning, you can’t get a shot at any title for that period of time and you are now free to concentrate on individual promotions during that time.
Second Offense – If you are a Champion and this is your second offense, you WILL be stripped of your title, and you will NOT receive a title shot for any PWC Championship for six (6) months, and will be suspended from PWC sanctioned events for three (3) months.
Third Offense – You WILL be stripped and released from ALL PWC Promotions. Promotions trying to get around this, if you are found readmitting a three-time offender, the promoter(s) and PWC Council will convene to discuss your punishment. Do not allow this to happen to you just to get a body on your roster.
These rules are tough and very harsh, but we, at PWC, want to maintain a good reputation of having respectable champions. Our champions will show for every match and be the cream of the crop, model citizens. We do not want any “Scott Hall” incidents as these rules are in place to deter anyone from making the mistake of no-showing events without proper notice. We all try to build up matches and events for everyone to enjoy and we will not allow one mishap to stop the show. If you feel you are up to these standards as promoter under the PWC umbrella, then you are more than welcome to join the family. If you feel you are up to these standards as a wrestler, then you are up to being a PWC Champion.
Good luck.
- The Council
