Everyone,
If anyone is out there to read this, whether you’re a member (active or signed up and doing nothing i.e. no-showing when booked) or simply an onlooker, The Council has decided to cease Ultimate Wrestling Association operations for the time being due to the lack of interest and a dwindling roster.
We have tried to gain new membership to bring to UWA but unfortunately, there have not been many takers on the offers. We have tried for almost a year to make UWA flourish but to no avail. We provide great material for character and storyline development but for reasons unknown and assumed, it’s the look of the site that does not draw an interest from outside eyes, and those who are a part of UWA seem to have either lost interest in the product, disappeared for no reason, or have developed either an ego or attitude problem. Most of these are personal factors in which we are not in control of and we can do nothing about. But no one can say we didn’t try to make UWA a great place to roleplay and enjoy well written shows.
As we mull over the future of UWA, The Council will attempt to work with others on the outside and obtain a better looking homepage and forum layout to draw some interest. Apparently, the look of a federation is what draws new members and them wanting to be a part of the action, instead of what is in the inside of the federation. Yes, the current environment of UWA makes the federation look dead due to the lack of activity by the roster, either posting at the deadline or simply not posting at all. What hurts is that people wait for others to post first. The ‘waiting game’ is a quiet but deadly game and it makes UWA look dead. That is out of our control and that is to be addressed when/if we can draw new members who are willing to compete at a high level and be active to make UWA look like an active federation. We are looking for dedicated members who want to make UWA a strong standing federation and not a federation to use to kill time, reuse roleplays from other federations, gain interest in your own federation to swipe members, and to pad title reigns due to a small roster. Hopefully, with a new layout, we can attract healthy members and go forward in our progress. It shouldn’t be about what the outside looks like, but what’s on the inside and what can you get in return for your output.
We can not say we are sorry for UWA going dark, as we tried to do what we could to bring enjoyment to everyone and keep it interesting. We have our faults, but we can not satisfy everyone. There may be other factors as to why many dropped off without word, but that’s your business and if you decide to return, you will be welcomed back. The last UWA show before going dark will be Warzone XV, even with the poor turnout, and it will be up within the week.
In the meantime, we will keep the entire Pro Wrestling Council forum open and work with other federations and interfeds, and hopefully run a Pro Wrestling Council mega show in the future. While UWA is in the dark, we will try to revamp the layout and continue to recruit with the emphasis of helping the product and developing the character that is within all of us.
If anyone is interested in helping The Council in revamping the homepage and forum, please contact the administrator (The Council), polo (Tommy Polo), or Councilman #2 via PM or IM. We are open to suggestions and any help you can offer in helping us return to the light will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
The Council
